Now there's no need to go out for dinner -- or even outside to the barbecue. Gorton's, Gloucester, Mass., has introduced two new grilled shrimp offerings: Classic Grilled and Scampi Grilled.
In an interview this summer, Vice President of Marketing Jodi Nedrow-Counihan, explained, "These items are meeting the need to replace restaurant occasions with at-home shrimp options."
Gorton's says both new offerings -- available regionally -- feature flame-grilled, large, tail-on shrimp that already are marinated with herbs and more for added flavor. Both products cook in under 15 minutes on the stovetop, in the oven or in a microwave. They may be served on their own or over rice, pasta or a salad, the company notes.
