Can't get to the Big Apple? Don't worry. A little taste of New York is headed your way. Mendelsohn's Pizza and Gourmet Specialty Food Products, Brooklyn, N.Y., is preparing a national distribution program, in conjunction with product line expansion.

Known in New York for its frozen pizza, Mendelsohn's is adding a host of new offerings including falafel balls, lasagna rolls, eggplant parmesan, vegetarian lasagna, ziti, blintzes and macaroni and cheese.

Mendelsohn's sells through a frozen wholesale division, Ko-Fro Foods Inc. To support its new national distribution and product needs, the company has moved into a larger processing plant in Avenel, N.J., officials said.
