Hain Pure Protein Corp., a New Oxfard, Pa.-based joint venture between Pegasus Capital Advisors, L.P. and The Hain Celestial Group, Inc., added chicken tenders of whole muscle breast meat to its fully cooked frozen, natural FreeBird line. The tenders are made with antibiotic-free chicken and all-natural ingredients.

This launch also marks the beginning of FreeBird's updated packaging, which features easy-to-read nutrition information on the front, as well as a revised Earthwise banner.

"Now our Earthwise banner tells our ‘farm-to-fork’ story more clearly," says Barb Quijano, vice president of marketing for Hain Pure Protein Corp. “This is the message consumers told us they wanted to see during our research."

FreeBird chicken tenders feature a suggested retail of $5.99 for a 10-ounce package.
