Reser’s Fine Foods announced late-summer plans to break ground on a new 310,000-square-foot facility in Hillsboro, Ore. The new salad and specialty food plant and distribution center will provide the company with 35% more capacity than the existing two Beaverton plants combined.

“This is a significant milestone for our company,” says Mark Reser, president. “For more than 60 years, our family has been committed to making wholesome food right here in Oregon, and we’ve grown because we’ve listened to our customers. This new facility allows us to efficiently and effectively fulfill the varied demands of an ever-evolving marketplace.”

The new facility is being carefully designed to incorporate enhanced flexibility and the newest innovations in food manufacturing, and will position the company for further expansion as growth continues. All manufacturing activities and jobs at the two existing Beaverton plants will move to the new facility, slated for completion by fall 2015.

Likewise, the company headquarters and corporate offices will remain at the Jenkins facility in Beaverton, Ore.
