The annual IIAR Industrial Refrigeration Conference & Exhibition is simply the best place for industrial refrigeration professionals to connect, collaborate and discuss the latest innovations and complex issues facing the industry, learn about new ideas and techniques being utilized in the field and find out what strategies are working.

The 2015 Industrial Refrigeration Conference & Exhibition, hosted by the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration, Alexandria, Va., will take place March 22-25 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront in San Diego, Calif., and offers an unrivaled opportunity for companies to showcase their latest products, services, innovations and technologies.

Kicking off the event will be keynote speaker Rear Admiral Ray Smith, who is widely regarded as one of the Navy’s most inspirational leaders, speaking on his leadership experiences to a wide range of audiences. A Navy SEAL for almost 39 years, he achieved extraordinary success through focused, participatory leadership. During his 4-year tenure as commander of the 2,300-men SEAL force, he raised personnel retention to a level three times the Navy average. As a navy captain, he led the Navy SEALs in Operation Desert Storm, conducting over 200 operations of strategic significance with zero casualties. Earlier in his career, Admiral Smith directed Navy SEAL training, generally considered to be the most challenging military training in the world.

This year’s conference also will feature an educational program titled IIAR CO2: Design and Application in Industrial Refrigeration. This one-of-a-kind learning experience will instruct attendees on the basic engineering principles needed to design a variety of energy efficient CO2 systems.

The IIAR Technical Program will include paper presentations on topics ranging from global refrigerant trends to determining pressure drop through valves. The Department of Homeland Security will present a special workshop on Executive Order 13650, a panel of experts will discuss electrical safety and the show’s closing forum will delve into the unique set of codes and regulations specific to the industrial refrigeration industry in California.

New to the conference is an evening at the ballpark. IIAR’s Monday night banquet will be held as a reception event at Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres.
