Champion Foods, New Boston, Mich., partnered with New York Timesbest-selling author Lisa Lillien to launch the Hungry Girl brand of individual better-for-you frozen pizzas.
Each pizza is individually packaged for portion control, packed with protein, enriched with fiber and features a crispy sprouted-grain crust and an Italian five-cheese blend.
It comes in Cheese and Pepperoni, and can be found in the deli section of Meijer stores nationwide.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have created this great partnership with Hungry Girl and to offer a healthy, delicious pizza that’s perfect for lunch, dinner or as a snack,” says Peter Smith, national marketing manager for Champion Foods. “We’re hopeful women will see this product and know they can guiltlessly indulge in one of America’s favorite foods, with the added convenience of picking it up in the deli section of Meijer.”
“This is something I’ve wanted to offer pizza lovers everywhere for a long time, and I’m grateful we’re able to make it happen with Champion Foods,” adds Lillien. “Like most women out there, I love pizza. But, it can be challenging to find pizza with impressive nutritional information and taste. This pizza is quick, easy, satisfying and delicious, and the nutritionals can't be beat.”
