Silgan Plastics, Chesterfield, Mo., announced plans to construct a new Greenfield facility in Hazelwood, Mo. This facility further optimizes customer support and is logistically located to take on additional growth. The approximately 335,000-square-foot plant will bring at least 120 new manufacturing jobs to the area, and is expected to be operational in late 2015.

“The primary focus of the facility is to support the growth of existing long-term strategic customers, lower the overall operating cost of our manufacturing network and to provide a platform for growth in target markets,” says Sarah Macdonald, president.
