General Mills Invests $250M in Yogurt, Baked Goods Plant

General Mills, Minneapolis, announced plans to invest $250 million to increase capacity at its Murfreesboro, Tenn., facility, creating 117 new jobs.
“On behalf of our Murfreesboro employees and General Mills, we’re excited for what’s to come and look forward to continued success in Murfreesboro,” says Dave Tincher, plant manager.
The expansion will involve increasing production on existing lines, as well as installation of additional production equipment.
The Murfreesboro facility produces yogurt and refrigerated baked goods.
