AIT Worldwide Logistics, Itasca, Ill., relocated its Miami, Fla., office to a new facility that supports the launch of the company’s less-than-container load (LCL) service to Latin America.
The new location is a full-service gateway to Central and South America, and will provide customers and participating forwarders with better service, improved communications and transparent pricing.
By eliminating the middleman from the usual LCL experience, AIT will communicate directly with customers and forwarders about their shipments while offering predictable, regularly scheduled service to Costa Rica.
“We confidently believe we are providing a vastly improved alternative in the LCL marketplace,” says Alex Toledo, AIT-Miami station manager. “Our interest lies in providing a better option, and AIT will not attempt to lure customers away from other forwarders who are taking advantage of this highly beneficial service.”
Transportation industry veteran Carlos Sanchez was hired as business development manager for the Miami station. He will apply more than 20 years of global logistics experience to help develop the new LCL business while supporting AIT-Miami’s full range of transportation management services.
The new AIT-Miami office is a secure gateway facility with multiple dock doors that handle all container sizes. The station offers a complete array of logistics products, including customs brokerage and a ground-breaking LCL co-loading service. It is located 20 minutes from the Port of Miami and nearly adjacent to the Miami International Airport.
