ITS Logistics, Sparks, Nev., moved into a new office space that nearly triples the size of its previous home. The new office will occupy the entire top floor of the 4-story office tower in Reno, Nev.
“The success of our fast-growing brokerage division requires more space, so that we can keep up with the pace of our customer acquisition,” says Greg Sanders, chief commercial officer. “Our staff in the downtown office has grown by more than 40% in the last year, and we expect that trend to continue in 2016.”
ITS National, the brokerage arm under the ITS umbrella, provides truckload, less-than-truckload and intermodal brokerage and transportation management to large and small shippers across the country. In less than five years, this division has grown significantly, and now makes up approximately 40% of the overall revenues for ITS Logistics.
“Our team works hard every day, and they like the vibe of downtown and Midtown—fitness centers, great restaurants, coffee shops and the ability to take a lunchtime run by the Truckee River,” says Mike Crawford, general manager of the freight brokerage group. “It was important to us, being so invested in the Northern Nevada community for more than 16 years, to continue to support and be a part of the awesome downtown environment Reno has.”
The move of the freight brokerage group into expanded space comes at the same time ITS Logistics is consolidating its corporate office, warehouse, distribution center and Reno/Sparks trucking operations into a 630,000-square-foot campus at 555 Vista Blvd. That move is expected to be complete this summer, as ITS completes several million dollars of improvements in the facility at the east edge of Sparks.
