General Mills, Minneapolis, introduced new pouches for its Yoplait Go Big low-fat yogurt, available in supermarkets and mass merchandisers nationwide.
Go Big offers portable yogurt in 4-ounce pouches, which is twice the size of Go-GURT tubes, and comes in easy-to-open, “grip-and-rip” packaging that tears effortlessly along a perforated edge to reveal a convenient and mess-free product opening.
“We’re always listening to our consumers, and we heard over and over that while there are plenty of yogurt lines that speak to parents or kids, no yogurt was made just for teens,” says Betsy Frost, business unit director at General Mills. “Go Big was developed to fit into the busy lifestyles of today’s teens, who are looking for a snack that is portable and convenient, and that they can eat single-handedly, as they single-handedly crush everything life throws at them.”
Go Big comes in Strawberry, Mixed Berry, Cherry and Peach Mango, and is sold in boxes of eight yogurt pouches, or by the individual pouch in select retailers, for a suggested retail price of $4.99.
