Unilever, Englewood Cliffs, N.J., expanded its MAGNUM Ice Cream ice cream brand to include MAGNUM Tubs, a new concept that takes the signature MAGNUM chocolate and silky ice cream from the classic MAGNUM Ice Cream bar and reimagines it in a scoopable format.
The sides of the MAGNUM tub are encased in a shell of chocolate. Consumers squeeze the sides of the tub to crack the chocolate shell, and then break into the top thick chocolate layer for a mixture of rich chocolate shards and silky ice cream in every spoonful.
"MAGNUM Tubs offer a new, multisensory way to enjoy MAGNUM Ice Cream that is unlike anything available in the category today," says Bruno Francisco, marketing director of ice cream at Unilever. "It is truly a revolutionary ice cream experience that our fans are going to love."
MAGNUM Tubs come in Milk Chocolate Vanilla, Dark Chocolate Raspberry, Milk Chocolate Hazelnut and White Chocolate Vanilla varieties, and are available in February in select grocery stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of $5.49.
