Lakeside Foods, Inc., Manitowoc, Wis., announced plans to invest over $40 million in the expansion of its Manitowoc packaging facility.

The planned expansion would include a 100,000-square-foot addition, including an expanded frozen warehouse and increased refrigerated packaging space, and would bring on approximately 40 new jobs.

The existing facility packages hundreds of millions of pounds of product per year for over 100 private label customers, and runs seven days a week. The proposed expansion could break ground as early as the spring, with a project completion for spring of 2019.
