RK Logistics Group, Fremont, Calif., opened a freight brokerage operation with Mode Transportation, Dallas, Texas.

Operating under the name RKG Mode LLC, the new division complements the company’s service portfolio with new capabilities for local, regional and nationwide truckload less-than-truckload, intermodal, ocean, parcel and integrated transportation management services.

RKG Mode will operate as an independent agent of Mode Transportation, and will be based in Summerlin, Nev.

RKG Mode also will leverage Mode Transportation’s transportation management technology platform, providing full load planning and booking, execution, real-time shipment visibility, settlement, performance analytics and reporting.
