Lactalis Group, France, announced plans to acquire Nuova Castelli S.p.A., Italy, 80% of which is held by the British investment fund Chartherhouse Capital Partner.

Nuova Castelli specializes in the production and distribution of dairy products in the Italian dairy tradition, as well as AOC cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano, Mozzarella di Bufala Campana and Gorgonzola.

Nuova Castelli also maintains 13 production sites in Italy and 3 in Poland, Hungary and United States.

With this acquisition, Lactalis Group strengthens its distribution of AOC cheeses in international markets.
