New Organic Valley Fat-Free Grassmilk adds an SKU to the nation’s No. 1 100% grass-fed milk brand. More than one-third of grassmilk consumers also purchase fat-free or skim milk, according to industry research. This positions Organic Valley Fat Free Grassmilk to meet the demand for consumers who are searching for a lower-fat option.
Organic Valley Fat Free Grassmilk offers the same nutrient density and 100% commitment to grass-fed as the rest of the product line. All Organic Valley Grassmilk is made with milk from third-party certified grass-fed cows on organic family farms, which means that cows are on pasture for more than 150 days per year, and are fed 100% grass and dried forages year around.
The cows that produce this organic grass-fed milk are never fed grain, resulting in milk that features the subtle seasonal flavors of the pastures that consumers are looking for in a grass-fed product. Fat Free Grassmilk also contains essential nutrients like vitamins A and D.
"Organic Valley identified a consumer desire for a fat-free grass-fed option," said Alex Schams, Organic Valley brand manager. "With an extensive network of farmer-owners who dedicate their herds to grassmilk production, Organic Valley is uniquely qualified to meet this demand in the organic dairy sector."
Demand for milk from grass-fed cows is increasing, with a three-year CAGR of +27% according to SPINS. Around 34% of grass-fed milk consumers also purchase fat-free or skim milk, offering real growth in demand for the grass-fed fluid milk category.
Organic Valley Fat Free Grassmilk is now available for order. The half-gallon SRP is $5.99.
