The Flexible Packaging Association (FPA), Annapolis, Md., released its “2019 State of the Flexible Packaging Industry Report,” which provides industry converters, suppliers, investors and analysts with insight into the performance (i.e. growth, revenue/volume expectations, profitability and capital spending) of the U.S. flexible packaging industry over the past year.

Paper Converting Machine Co. (PCMC), part of the Barry-Wehmiller Converting Solutions Platform, Green Bay, Wis., acquired RDP Marathon Inc., Canada, and IPT Digital, Sarasota, Fla., to expand its digital printing technology offerings.
As of Jan. 1, 2020, the company will be known as UFP Industries, Inc., and will be organized around the markets it serves, such as retail, construction and industrial, rather than geography.

The combined company will have 11 manufacturing plants and more than 100 extrusion lines in Ohio, Wisconsin, South Carolina and Massachusetts.
