The Worthy Company has expanded into 60 Wegman’s locations. The stores will be selling the brand’s Dark Cocoa Cherry, Strawberry & Greens, and Vanilla Orange Worthy Bowls.

Plant-based, fungi-focused protein manufacturer Meati Foods is leasing 76,463 square feet of Class A industrial space at 25 North in Thornton, Colorado. Meati will occupy two-thirds of a brand new 114,700-square-foot building that was constructed in 2020.

Sweet Earth Vegan Jumbo Hot Dogs are made using a pea and potato protein base. The updated Sweet Earth Awesome Burger 2.0 will be the first plant-based burger on the market to use a mix of pea and fava in addition to hemp protein as its base. Raised & Rooted, Tyson Foods’ brand of plant protein products, is expanding its offerings with three new products to meet the increased demand for plant-based protein options. The new plant-based burger patties, Bratwurst and Italian sausages, and ground are available in the refrigerated section of grocery stores nationally.

Urban Farmer, a manufacturer of plant-based specialty dough products, announced that Steve Jungmann has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer and will also serve on the Board of Directors. Mr. Jungmann succeeds John Keigher who is assuming the role of Chief Operating Officer after serving as the company’s Chief Executive Officer.

Gathered Foods, makers of Good Catch plant-based seafood, announced the company has secured  $26.35 million in a B-2 bridge funding round with investments from Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), Unovis Asset Management, Big Idea Ventures, and others. This strategic funding will allow Gathered Foods to further propel Good Catch plant-based seafood to the forefront of the industry, as well as raise awareness for the trajectory of the plant-based industry's market growth and popularity.
