Papa Cantella’s, manufacturer of the Official Dodger Dog, is launching the iconic Dodger Dogs in grocery stores across Southern California including Vons, Albertsons, Ralph’s and more. Selling over 350,000 Dodger Dogs since opening day, the iconic stadium favorite hits shelves just in time for Fourth of July barbecues.
Kvarøy Arctic, the family-owned Atlantic salmon company based on Kvarøy Island along Norway’s Arctic Circle, is making sustainably raised salmon accessible to a broader audience with its salmon hot dogs now available at 120 Giant Eagle stores in Indiana, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. The American supermarket company founded in 1918 is currently carrying all four flavors of Kvarøy Arctic hot dogs including Original, Original & Cheese, Chili & Cheese, and Jalapeño & Cheese.
Wunderoots brand was announced last October, and includes carrot hot dogs, and riced and ribboned carrot side dishes.

The Los Angeles Dodgers announced a multi-year partnership with Vernon, California-based Papa Cantella’s to supply Dodger Stadium with Dodger Dogs and its premium sausages. Papa Cantella’s products, including Dodger Dogs, have been sold at Dodger Stadium since Opening Day and packaged Dodger Dogs will also be available at retail grocery locations throughout Southern California.
Tyson's Ball Park brand has rolled out Ball Park Fully Loaded Nacho Cheese Franks, a summer flavor mashup in one delicious frank that fans can enjoy at home. Tyson's Aidells brand also launched two new products: Cotija Cheese & Fire Roasted Poblano Smoked Beef Sausage Links, and Fire Roasted Tomato and Romano Cheese Meatballs.
Greenleaf Foods is bringing a new level of flavor exploration to the plant-based hot dog category with the launch of its Field Roast Signature Stadium Dog, a plant-based premium hot dog that is naturally smoked. It is the first plant-based hot dog to be made from pea protein, rather than soy, and will be the first plant-based hot dog to be sold alongside traditional beef dogs when it becomes available in retail stores this spring.
In 2020 – the year of quarantining and social distancing – many Americans have chosen to indulge in comfort food. A new poll of 2,000 Americans found that two in three are reverting to childhood food favorites and eating more comfort food during the pandemic. That includes an uptick in such favorites as pizza (55%), hamburgers (48%), ice cream (46%), French fries (45%), mac and cheese (38%), spaghetti and meatballs (32%) and others.
The original American hot dog, Feltman’s of Coney Island (est. 1867), has launched at 1,190 Publix Super Market locations across Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee. In Feltman’s biggest supermarket retail launch to date, the small veteran-owned and operated hot dog company has debuted a new 12.8 oz. eight-count pack SKU of its Uncured Beef Natural Casing Hot Dogs—a perfect match for an eight-pack of hot dog buns—which are now available at Publix locations across the Southeast, and through Publix curbside pickup and delivery powered by Instacart in select locations.
Sausages will go to 25 food banks across the U.S. on July 22.

In recognition of National Hot Dog Day on July 22, members of the North American Meat Institute (NAMI or the Meat Institute) are working with Feeding America to donate more than 325,000 hot dogs to food banks across the nation for people in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.
