Talk about a new product’s “up side.” This February finds Simplot Food Group, Boise, Idaho, introducing three new side dishes with equal appeal to both consumers and foodservice customers.
Savory, moist, flavorful, succulent. The preceding adjectives could have been pulled from reviews of the hottest gourmet restaurant in town, or they could describe the latest refrigerated and frozen prepared entrees and side dishes.
Consumers can serve El Monterrey Taquitos as a snack or appetizer, side dish, or even with rice and beans as a main entrée component. Southwest Chicken is the newest Taquito variety - combining chicken, cheese, veggies and Mexican spices wrapped in a lightly fried tortilla.
