Looking to leverage its popular brand in more value-added arenas, Chiquita Brands International, Cincinnati, partnered with juice processor Old Orchard Brands LLC, Sparta, Mich., on three new Chiquita Frozen Fruit Smoothie concentrates. 

Houchens Industries Inc., a diversified, $3 billion private company, said it purchased Chicago's Tampico Beverages Inc. in an undisclosed cash deal.
