HARRISBURG, Pa. – The 2016 National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity for frozen and refrigerated food industry executives to conduct one-on-one business meetings with dozens of customers in just a few days. This event hosted by the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) will take place on October 22-25, at the Marriott Wardman Park, Washington, DC.
The NFRA Convention is designed to bring together leading companies from every segment of the industry in one venue so that attendees are able to conduct more business in less time. NFRA provides its retailer members with complimentary meeting rooms so they may hold appointments throughout the convention. Last year’s event brought together over 1,200 attendees to network and conduct business.
From beginning to end, the convention is structured to help attendees make valuable connections. The convention kicks off with the popular Taste of Excellence Reception on Sunday, October 23, where frozen and refrigerated food manufacturers showcase their latest products. This engaging opening event allows attendees the opportunity to interact with industry colleagues while sampling the newest items in frozen and refrigerated foods.
This year’s agenda features a nationally known political strategist and commentator as the Monday morning breakfast speaker. The Membership Luncheon on Monday will include NFRA’s annual business meeting, as well as honor the 2016 Refrigerated Food Hall of Fame inductees. A new Networking Reception on Monday evening will recognize the 2016 Golden Penguin winners for the March Frozen Food Month, June Dairy Month and June/July Ice Cream & Novelties promotions.
During Tuesday’s breakfast session, political media consultant Alex Castellanos and political columnist Eugene Robinson will square off on this year’s election. NFRA’s incoming chairman, Joy Sgro of C&S Wholesale Grocers, will host Tuesday’s Industry Luncheon featuring Frozen & Refrigerated Buyer’s Retail Patriot Awards.
It’s recommended that attendees register by June 10 so their name is included in the first registration list. This list is provided to all registrants so they can schedule business meetings before arriving in Washington, DC. To register for this year’s convention, contact NFRA at (717) 657-8601 or visit www.NFRAConvention.org.
