To better optimize its production, refrigerated foods processorMonterey Gourmet Foods, Salinas, Calif., said it will close an Emerald Valley organic products plant in Eugene, Ore., and transfer production to a new facility in Kent, Wash.
The Emerald Valley plant in Eugene processes organic salsa, bean dips and hummus. The operation employs about 25 people.
