Execs on the move at Breyer's Yogurt, Clear Springs, Butterball
EXECS ON THE MOVE
Clearwater Seafoods L.P., Halifax, N.S., said it hired consumer packaged goods veteran Ian Smith as chief executive officer effective May 17, 2010. Smith has more than 21 years' experience at posts with Campbell Soup Co. and Colgate-Palmolive. His most recent position with Campbell was vice-president of business development for North America. Clearwater processes scallops, lobster, clams, coldwater shrimp, crab and ground fish.
Breyers Yogurt Company, LLC, Boulder, Colo., said it hired James Nolan as chief executive officer. Officials said Nolan succeeds Chuck Marcy, who has decided to leave and pursue outside interests. Nolan has 30 years of food industry experience and most recently served as executive vice president and chief executive officer of Sara Lee Fresh Bakery, a $2 billion division of Sara Lee Corporation.
Turkey processor Butterball, LLC, Garner, N.C., said it hired Anita Colglazier as director of quality further processing -- responsible for quality and food safety at Butterball plants in Mount Olive, N.C., Kinston, N.C., Longmont, Colo., and Jonesboro, Ark. Seperately, Butterball said it promoted Steve Swan to complex manager for its Mt. Olive, N.C., plant.
