Twin Cities Business reported that Dairy Farmers of America Inc., Kansas City, Mo., is in talks with HP Hood LLC, Lynnfield, Mass., to acquire Kemps LLC, a St. Paul, Minn., processor of ice cream, milk and yogurt products.
Fresh and frozen seafood processor Santa Monica Seafood, Rancho Dominguez, Calif., said it acquired the customer base, the corporate name, the inventory and other assets of Long Beach Seafood Co., a Los Angeles-based seafood distributor. Officials said Tony and Star de Lucia, Long Beach Seafood's president and vice president of sales, respectively, have joined Santa Monica Seafood.
