Mochidoki's direct-to-consumer website has launched two-day shipping in Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah, expanding their delivery zones to the Western US for the first time. The nationally-renowned brand now ships to 27 states.
Using only the highest-quality ingredients, Mochidoki offers elegant flavors such as Red Bean with chopped azuki red beans, Black Honey Walnut with kuromitsu (Japanese molasses), Salted Caramel with cracked caramel candy, Raspberry Crunch with white chocolate pearls, and more. After learning alongside Japanese pastry chefs, dairy scientists and food technologists, and diligently researching the science and history of the hand-held treat, founder Ken Gordon launched Mochidoki in 2015 as a wholesale brand serving the foodservice industry.
The company’s ingredient-driven ethos and whimsical creations swiftly amassed a loyal following, and became the preferred mochi ice cream provider to top restaurant and hospitality groups nationwide, from Nobu and Tao to Wynn Resorts and Blue Ribbon. Building on this success, Mochidoki launched their direct-to-consumer website in the summer of 2018, bringing 15 signature flavors and seasonal offerings to households across the country.
Mochidoki's ingredients are 100% natural and non-GMO. Their lineup includes two vegan flavors (Chocolate and Lychee) while 10+ flavors are gluten-free.
Flavor development is led by newly-appointed Culinary Director Natsume Aoi. Natsume grew up making mochi dough in her grandmother's kitchen in Japan, later trained in classic French pastry with Jean Georges Vongerichten, and became the executive pastry chef at Morimoto before joining Mochidoki.
Available products include Mochidoki’s 24-piece Signature Collection and 24-piece boxes of your favorite flavor. The treats are shipped in insulated coolers with dry ice, and arrive fresh, frozen and ready to enjoy.
