New LED lights that are being installed in milk display cases across the country do more than just reduce energy bills—they also help milk taste better, according to research conducted by Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), Blacksburg, Va.
Plans called for the opening of a new 112,000 square-foot facility and an expansion at the original Kutter’s Cheese factory.

Yancey’s Fancy, New York, announced plans to more than double its annual milk purchases within the next three years as it continues to expand operations.
The small micro-dairy already moved to a farm in the Shenandoah Valley near Harrisonburg, Va., and partnered with a Mennonite farmer, who will milk and care for Old Church Creamery’s Jersey herd.

Clover is said to be one of the first Non-GMO Project Verified conventional milk processors produced in a large scale in California.
