Provender acquired the vacant facility at 5300 Great Oak Drive in late October, which marked the firm’s entry into the Florida market.  

The Phoenix Cold Storage Facility will be a 293,000-square-foot fully convertible freezer and cooler distribution center facility with 40,500 pallet positions.

With importance as a trading center dating back to French colonists and Native Americans and Alabama’s place as one of the largest poultry producing states in the U.S., the Port of Mobile is poised for expansion in 2023.

The Chicago facility encompasses 212,807 square feet of temperature-controlled warehouse and is strategically located near Interstate 55.

The buildings, totaling more than 700,000 square feet of space, are located in Denton and San Antonio, Texas.

The new state-of-the-art facility is designed to support the movement of fresh produce from field to table, and will employ renewable energy and automation to maximize throughput, extend produce shelf life, and minimize costs. 

Many warehouses and distribution centers suffer from fragmented processes with operational decisions made by manual planners who rely heavily on tribal knowledge. 

Combined, the facilities offer 12 million cubic feet of storage. 

The facilities are strategically located to serve a population of more than 87 million within an approximately 500-mile radius.
