Eye on Operations: Schwan's, Winona Foods expand

Just-Food.com reported that The Schwan Food Co., Marshall, Minn., completed a $22 million investment its Florence, Ky., frozen pizza plant. A spokesperson told Just-Food that the project included a new bakery, packaging line and ovens. Schwan operations are part of Schwan's Global Supply Chain, a subsidiary.
The Milwaukee (Wis.) Business Journal reported that cheese processor Winona Foods Inc., Green Bay, Wis., is spending $1.6 million to expand production space and purchase capital equipment.
