NewCold will build and operate an advanced, large-scale automated cold store facility which will be the biggest in Indiana and one of the largest in the United States. It is approximately half the size of the mammoth Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Indianapolis Colts. At 141 feet high (43 meters), the facility holds over 100,000 pallet positions.
The Controlled Environment Building Association (CEBA), a Core Partner of the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA), announced Primus Builders as the recipient of the 2020 CEBA Built by the Best Award for their project with Americold Logistics in Savannah, Georgia. The award recipient was unveiled during the Closing General Session of the GCCA Virtual Innovation Program by CEBA Chairman, Vince Free.
Project will be the fifth cold storage facility for FreezePak in the state.

FreezPak Logistics and Elizabeth and Newark officials announced today a project that will see the construction of a 140,000 square foot, state-of-the-art freezer warehouse facility. The project is located at the corner of Newark Avenue and Virginia Street on the border of Elizabeth and Newark. Elberon and Fidelco are co-developers in the project.

Dollar General announces the planned addition of three new DG Fresh facilities to support its strategic, multi-phased shift to self-distribution of frozen and refrigerated products such as dairy, deli and other perishable items. As Dollar General works to build the infrastructure to better support customers, the Company is investing in communities across the country and creating new career opportunities. As of May 2020, Dollar General was self-distributing to more than 9,000 stores from six DG Fresh cold storage facilities.
The Port of Mobile’s newest refrigerated cargo facility is on track for an early 2021 opening at one of the nation’s fastest growing container ports. The facility is located outside the gates of the seaport’s container terminal operated by APM Terminals and has immediate access to I-10. The distribution center will be one of the largest of its kind in the Southeast. Its proximity to the container terminal and max loading capabilities will not only add value but help customers reduce their carbon footprint by limiting the number of trucks on the road.
